Love is for connection, not for description. In order to know what love is and what is not, we must fall in love
Whatever I say in expressing love / when I come to love, I’m ashamed of it
You may enlighten the horizons by describing love / put an antidote on venom and give something of it to Dervish

Maulana
On February 16, at Oscar peterson Hall in Montreal, a ceremony featuring 8 artists will be staged. This ceremony, which coincides with Valentine, also commemorates Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi, known as Maulana, Molavi and Rumi, among the most famous Iranian poets of the Persian language. Mystical ceremonies accompanied by Dervishes (Sama dance) and compilation music gathered together with well-known artists.
A way to anywhere – Universal Music for the 21st Century and breaking the linguistic and cultural boundaries
When music passes beyond all cultural and geographical boundaries, it easily crosses borders. In fact, one can say that the way to anything is looking for something extravagant and must try a new path.
What more can be deceived by the human voice is its ability to represent everything through the power of its transformation. Sound is not just a passage for words; it is for us as an abstract dream, in which everything becomes completely meaningful.
And beside it is a mystical dance that expresses a degree of mysticism and love, as the words are not speaking of it. A performance that extends beyond all cultural and geographical boundaries and goes beyond all human boundaries, and its sound is like a piece of art that makes the billboard an unforgettable one.
Well-known artists such as Sarah Pagé with Harp – Mark Molner with solo – Bertil Schulrabe Percussion player and Dervishes like Lady Tanya Evanson and Shraddha Daniel along with the Iranian band Showan Tavakol Kamancheh player- Behnaz Sohrabi Performer of Rabab and Singing – Amir Amiri, Santour player with the presence of Nirvan Fadaei Moghaddam who creates visual scenes. The musicians who are known in their own artistic and cultural arena, bring us a ceremony that if we lose it, it’s similar will only be run in the city of Konya at the commemoration of Rumi. A ceremony in which a large number of non-Iranians have already made their tickets on the night of their lovers.
So what is love? The sea of extinction / faultlessness of the wisdom took place there
Let know more on lovers’ recourse (Artistic Multifaceted program on February 16th):
This program is performed in three different ways in art (dance, music and photography) and meditation is done simultaneously in three forms, where human boundaries are transmitted.
Symbol of cosmic rotation with the dance of Sama (Sufi): In the dance of Sama, one of the modes of meditation is dancer and viewer in a vertex form. Each particle that rotates in the center produces a particular energy that is in line with cosmic motion of the whole being, and the real meaning of love that makes sense to the center of the universe.
Music for Sama: What is heard in the listener’s ear of music influenced by mysticism distracts him from extra and unnecessary listening, and music that is considered for Sama has a special form that leads to a dancer and his release from the tone.
Images are arranged in a Zen meditation technique, in which the windows and doors are regarded in old mud and soil atmosphere similar to those for Zen meditation, which frees the viewer horizontally from the image of mental disorientation, and as such completes this discourse. Everything is spinning from atom to galaxy. Rumi believes that love is the only reason for this issue.
Dervishes’ Salam
Dervishes greet each other during the ceremony of Sama’s son. This salutation, performed by looking at each other’s face and eyes, is meant to be the reverence of the divine manifestation of each human being.
Symbol A and one
A is the first letter and in fact the beginning of the alphabet in Persian and Arabic. In a part of Sama ceremony, Dervishes place their hands in a cross over the chest and come in the form of a letter or number one.
When we say “one,” things are brought to our senses; start and unity. “One” is the first and the best and most complete. It reminds us of the unity of being and then God. In Islamic terms, God refers to the unity, the absolute being, and the infinity. “One” is separate from all numbers and is the source of all of them, and in this sense can be the symbol of God. The number “one” is drawn up as it relates to God. To the extent that this upward extension can be seen even in the word of God. Allah, God, Brahma, Shiva, Kishna, God and … have an extension of “A” style, which in some languages is similar to the same number “1”. Number “one” in a special form is the human symbol in a state of standing. Because the human being is the only being that possesses this feature. Even in the opinion of some anthropology scholars, the verticality of man to the feature of thought and reason is the most important privilege distinguishing him from other beings and animals. Also, “one” has its shape, volume and direction, and it is not a symbol for the origin and self-expression. On the other hand, “one” is like a tree and a pillar, and the tree and pillar are intermediaries between the earth and the sky.
Dance
Dance is symbolic in Sama. Dervish dies his own self before he dies. He opens his hands and starts to spin. He is silently saying that he is dancing and drops his self under his foot. At the time of Sama, the right hand is high, as if praying. Left hand is oriented downward. Dervishes are mediators between God and people and mediators between heaven and earth. They take from God and give to people and do not keep anything for themselves. In the letters of Hebrew Abjad, number “one”, which, as it was said, is a symbol of man, corresponds to the letter “N”, which is the symbol of a man raising one hand to the sky, and his other hand pointing to earth, an allegory of unity in the universe. (Like the dance of Sama!)
In the dance of Sima, Dervish keeps his left foot fixed on the ground and walks around it with his right foot. With every turn and silence, he repeats Allah and recalls him. Dervish must continue to spin without touching the other dervishes and without disturbing coordination, such as the planets of the solar system around the sun. A heavy duty is on the leader of dervishes during Sama. By strolling through the dervishes, he shows the places they should be in and prevent them from getting too close together and brings them together at a certain point.
Salam
Sama ceremony consists of four greetings, which represent four stages (Sharia, Path, Truth and Knowledge) that must pass through them. At the end of each Salam, the dervishes are divided into two, three, and four and honor to the center point that is symbol of Rumi by relying on each other. This division is a symbol of unity and integrity. During the first three greetings, dervishes spin around themselves as well as the place where they dance. In the fourth greeting, they remain where they are, and they just turn around the Sheikh. This movement means insisting on the point of unity and monotheism. In part of Sama ceremony, an issue with this theme is read: “The east and the west are God, so turn to all sides towards God. Undoubtedly, God is the revealer of the Knower.” Sama ends with prayer and all the dervishes and musicians follow the Sheikh and after the bow to the place, they leave the place of Sama.
Sama literally means ecstasy and movement when it comes to listening to music, it is the result of which the human being becomes selfless. Sama is the symbol of evolution of universe, the life of man in the world, his movement for the sake of God’s love and his movement with the understanding of servitude. Musicians and Sama players take their place in Sama After greetings to Sheikhs, and effendi Sheikh enters the house of Sama and after the greetings to singer and Sama players, they will sit on the skin. The main instrument is reed and, if possible, other instruments such as Robab, Law and Tangerine are added.
According to Rumi’s thoughts, this world is like a bubble in front of the sea compared to other world. The ceremony of Sama’s son shows exactly three trips, indicating three aspects and a way of receiving knowledge. Dervish spins around Sheikh in three rounds and goes all along these paths in the hope of reaching the stage of certainty in God. The ceremony of Sama’s son will end with the passage of Sheikh from the front.
Spin of Sultan’s son
The fourth part is called Sultan’s son rotation, in which Sama players greet each other three times and start with a circular motion. Sama players who reach to the skin from the right side of field, goes back to the opposite side without falling on the equator and back on the skin. Therefore, he is placed against another Sama player. The two dervishes, who collide at one moment in their eyes, immediately bow to the front and salute each other, which is interpreted as “confrontation.” Darvish, who has come to the intersection of the Sama square, bends his head and continues to move without falling on the line.
At the end of the third turn, effendi Sheikh will sit on the “skin” and the spin will end.
These rotations, conducted under the leadership of Sheikh, are a symbol of certainty, positive knowledge and right knowledge. Percussion player announces the end of son’s rotation with blows and the music starts. Sama player brings out a black cloak and, while closing her arms, symbolically points to the unity of God. Sama players comes one by one to the Sheikh and allow by kissing his hand, and Sama begin.
